What is a Kriya? A FREE VIDEO for you from me, with love <3

According to 3HO, the Healthy, Happy, Holy Organisation founded by Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga, a Kriya is "a series of postures, breath, and sound that work toward a specific outcome. Practicing a kriya initiates a sequence of physical and mental changes that affect the body, mind, and spirit simultaneously."

The versatility of Kundalini Yoga means that no matter what challenge you are facing, whatever area of your life, body, mind, emotional state you want to work on, there is a Kriya to help you. For example, you want to do a spring detox, you want to work on opening your heart, strengthen your immune or nervous system, just Google 'Kundalini Kriya for xxx'. You will find exactly what you're looking for. Try it!

The Kriyas that I selected for the latest course in my Yoga for Freediving online training programme, Training and Performance, are designed to help you specifically work on your freediving performance.

The Basic Breath Series is a simple yet thorough and profound Pranayama series that will increase your lung capacity, and help your adaptation to the changing levels of O2 and CO2, and bring far greater awareness to your breath and how you prepare for your dives. It will also stimulate the life force energy within you to make you feel more vital and alive, and give you amazing courage and motivation to face your challenges and training with creativity and passion.

The second Kriya, Basic Spinal Energizer, targets the flexibility of the spine. In yoga the spine, and the hollow space through the centre of it where the spinal cord runs, is the channel through which our primary energy, our Kundalini Energy, flows. Keeping the spine flexible is not only crucial for freedivers wanting that beautiful flowing dolphin movement when swimming with a monofin, the deeper purpose is far more profound - it enables your life energy to flow unimpeded, to help you achieve your goals more easily, by tapping into this Universal Source of energy, rather than relying solely on your muscular strength and endurance and your breathhold (for more information on this, I recommend you purchase Energy Beyond Breath, which explores our deeper sources of energy in relation to freediving)

This short little video, About Kriyas, explains more about the science and application of Kriyas for our freediving and life. Dive deep into this incredible journey with me, and get the newest course in my Yoga for Freediving course - Training and Performance
