Accommodation
Welcome to the beautiful island of La Palma, La Isla Bonita, in the Canaries. The home of Discover Your Depths Europe - in the middle of the Atlantic! We can’t wait to show you around!
Whether you come for freediving, hiking and exploring nature, or spiritual or coaching retreats, we are delighted to offer you our pick of accommodation in the pictureque village of Jedey, our new home.
We have fallen in love with this little village on ‘the beautiful island’ and feel sure that you will too.
About Jedey
Our new home of Jedey is a beautiful, quiet, typical Canarian village, situated around 600m above sea-level, nestled in against the edge of the stunning National Park forest. It offers the tranquillity of nature, with the convenience of a local grocer, bar and a fabulous pizzeria which is famous on the island for its food!
Its central location on the west side means we are blessed by immediate access to the forest for hiking and are at our favourite dive spots in just ten minutes by car. The biggest town on the island, Los Llanos, is also just ten minutes by car - great for shopping, and a wide array of Canarian and international dining. We are also perfectly positioned to reach the wilder hiking routes of the Caldera and the volcano route, as well as the southern dive sites, and the rugged and stunningly beautiful north for further adventures. All this just a 40-minute drive from the airport.
Local areas of interest within minutes of Jedey are the fantastical Plaza de La Glorieta, the Wine Museum and the Volcanic Visitors Centre of "Caños de Fuego".
La Casa Bonita
La Casa Bonita is a beautiful modern renovation of a typical Canarian cottage. Set on a quiet path, surrounded by local farmland, it offers super-stylish, spacious and serene accommodation to our guests.

Canarian life happens to a large extent outdoors, and the house has plenty of generous exterior spaces. The back yard is a completely private suntrap for soaking up vitamin D, and cooling off under the outdoor shower, while the shaded front terrace, is where we will hold yoga and meditation, as well as discourses and coaching sessions. The terrace offers views of the ocean and the mountains and enjoys the shade (and fruit) of the large avocado tree in the garden. Guests are also welcome to hang out in the small farm garden also attached to the house, which contains citrus fruit frees.
With two bedrooms (one double, one twin) it can comfortably host singles or a family of four, as well as those of you travelling alone, and wanting to share a house but have your own private space. We have kitchen-equipment-envy - no matter what your diet, you’ll find what you need to prepare your meals and smoothies. The open-plan living and dining space is light and comfortable and fully equipped for working online or watching movies.

heliocentro
Welcome to Villa Prana, your peaceful holiday home away from home in the heart of the bedouin village of Assalah in Dahab. It is the ideal space for yogis, freedivers and peace and nature-loving travellers to rest, relax and rejuvenate.
It sleeps up to four, with two double bedrooms, one of which is ensuite, with a huge, utterly romantic four-poster bed. The second bedroom has an incredible arched ceiling, with feature window, and adjoining bathroom.
The open plan living space includes a fully equipped kitchen, drinking water cooler, and opens out onto the shaded courtyard garden, perfect for lazy afternoons with a cup of tea and a great book. The roof terrace is great for sunbathing or sun-downer drinks, overlooking the mountains and the ocean in the distance.

Self-catering gives my yogi and freediving guests the option to eat what you want, when you want. I welcome all of my guests with a basket of fresh seasonal fruit, bread, tea, coffee and all the essentials for your stay. My pets can also be provided for cuddles and love – Twinkle-Toes, Poppy and Max are particularly good at guest relations.
Welcome to the real Dahab – Bedouin kids playing bare-foot on the streets, goats wandering in the streets, and camels tethered in back gardens.
You don't have to go far to experience authentic local food; just around the corner Hamdi makes his infamous breakfast Tameyah (falafel and salad sandwiches) and in the evenings the Basbousa man, with his huge tray on wheels full of Egyptian sticky sweet treats, passes our front door. The market, where you can buy everything you could possibly need during your stay, including a German bakery, pharmacy, health food shop and incredible fruit and vegetable stores, is a five minute walk away at the bottom or our street. There is also a small local supermarket right next door for basic groceries, open until late. Villa Prana is a little oasis of calm within the laid-back craziness of Bedouin life. We look forward to welcoming you.

Hotels
I completely understand that when on holiday, sometimes you want someone to do the shopping, the cooking and the cleaning for you! I offer my guests two hotel options, either on or very close to the beach, Eel Garden, and the best of Dahab's cafes, restaurants and snorkelling spots!
Coral Coast Hotel

Coral Coast Hotel is a stone’s throw away from Eel Garden and boasts its own freshwater pool, and not one, but two yoga and meditation spaces. The rooms are bright, colourful, fresh and modern, most of them with sea views.
The hotel has a large restaurant and a comfy arisha for relaxing, dining or having a beer, fresh juice or coffee during the day, as well as it's own beach with hammocks and sun-beds.
My twice-weekly yoga classes are held at Coral Coast, so if you want to simply roll out of bed to practice, this is the place to stay.

Single Occupancy €40/€46 ✻ Double Room €48/€54

Alf Leila Boutique Hotel

Alf Leila is the original and only boutique hotel in Dahab. The name means, A Thousand Nights, and the classical Arabic interiors do indeed transport you back to a time of Arabian princes, and nights of endless story-telling.
The rooms and suites are set around an inner courtyard complete with Bedouin seating corner and pool. The suites also have private balconies, and a lounge area.
Situated slightly off the beach, you are a 5-minute walk to Dahab's main bay. Our guests enjoy special discounted rates here – well worth spoiling yourself next time you come to Dahab!

OTHER ACCOMMODATION
If your stay includes a desert trip, we will plan the itinerary together to ensure just the right balance of adventure and comfort for you.
One of my favourites is a Bedouin ecolodge, a four hour hike into the mountains behind St Catherine’s village, where most of the food is home-grown, and they even make their own honey. Lighting at night is from candles, oil lamps and the open fires, and warm showers are provided courtesy of solar panels powered by our very reliable sun.
Alternatively, we might choose to stay in a camp in St Catherine’s itself which gives us excellent access to all of the amazing treks and sites in and around this historic village at the base of Mount Sinai.
For the real romantics out there, there is always the thousand star hotel of the desert – there is nothing more peaceful or beautiful than sleeping beneath the velvet canopy of the Sinai sky.
