HOLISTIC FREEDIVING JOURNEY (Online)
The Holistic Freediving Journey is my transformative in-water coaching experience online. It is the perfect complement to any in-water certification or training programme - instructors are great to teach the skills, technique and safety, while I help you access the mental, emotional and spiritual states where you will find ease and flow in all that you do.
Whether you are a beginner or advanced, Holistic Freediving addresses the fears and self-limiting beliefs that arise at all stages of the journey.
WhAT IS HOLISTIC FREEDIVING ONLINE?
Holistic Freediving is a hybrid online training and coaching programme that enables you to gain the benefits of my spiritual approach to the ocean, and work at your own pace to support your in-water training throughout the year.
What does it contain?
You will gain access to the Complete Collection of my Yoga for Freediving video course, a two-hour Deep Dive Consultation and four one-hour personalised one to one online coaching sessions with me.
Who is it for?
The Holistic Freediving Journey accompanies you from beginner to advanced athlete by dissoving the inner struggles we all face, beyond technique and performance. Mental or emotional challenges or deeper questions may arise at any time on your freediving path and Holistic Freediving supports you in addressing them.
You can take this course at any stage - before your very first beginners course, when you hit your first block, for that competition or record attempt edge, or to help with mouthfill. You can also take it because you’re craving to explore our beautiful. mysterious, profound relationship with water beyond performance and numbers.
How does it work?
We will start with the two-hour Deep-Dive Consultation in order for me to understand the challenges that you are experiencing in your training (and/or life), and what goals you want to work towards, and start our coaching relationship. The consultation and video materials will form the framework for our one to one sessions. These will include the four one-hour Holistic Freediving discourses, PLUS three further personalised coaching one to ones to uncover what is holding you back, and helping you move beyond these obstacles (this can be 4 x discourses and 4 x one to one, or we can join them together for 4 x 2-hour discourse + one to one). I will give you clear instructions for pre-call and post-call homework to deepen the experience from our calls. Journalling is a recommended but optional extra.
I’m already doing certifications, how does this help?
Freediving education has expanded and improved massively in the last few years, but due to the need for ‘requirements’ in these courses, the focus is on results (number, depths, distances, times) rather than relaxation. Instructors are taught to teach you the techniques and skills to be safe in the water, which are essential and should never be side-stepped, but they are not necessarily trained to help you with the mental blocks or difficult emotions that almost always arise in the self-confrontation that comes with breathhold and depth.
They are also dealing with several people in the water, and have to complete the course within the allocated dates, so may not have the time or capacity to give you the mental-emotional-spiritual support that you need.
Working with me online, either before or during your freediving course or training, can help you understand the subtle but vital role that the mind plays in your experience, and allow you to access the magic that occurs when you dive as an holistically integrated human; body, mind, spirit and ocean, in the flow of oneness.
How often do we meet?
The optimal frequency of our sessions is between two to four weeks to allow you enough time for you to explore and reflect on your own experience; however we can meet more often if have have a specific goal such as a depth training holiday, or a competition. Ultimately it is up to you.
When can I start?
You can start at any time; simply sign up and I will send you your Consultation Form and give you access to the Yoga for Freediving Complete Collection. Once I receive your completed form, we set up our first two-hour call.
What can I expect?
Having coached hundreds of freedivers over more than thirteen years it’s hard to know where to start. But if there is a general thread running through my work and the experiences of my students, it is that I help students to shine a light on where and how their own thoughts and beliefs get in their way, both in and out of the water. By seeing clearly that the problem is not outside of them, but simply requires a shift in mindset - a moving beyond some beliefs, a letting go - students are encouraged and empowered to trust themselves. In this way they are able to find true, deep relaxation in mind-body-spirit, which in turn allows dives to unfold naturally, easily and with joy, without pushing and without injury.

The Holistic Freediving Journey is the gateway to join my online community, Awakened Potential, which is a six-month unfolding. This community of like-minded, spiritually curious people meet online up to twice each month for lectures and sharing around all things body-mind-spirit. I bring my experiences of the deep ocean, volcanoes (!) and Mother Nature in general for reflection and learning, as well as spiritual teachings from my over 20 years of exploring various paths of yoga, meditation and pranayama, all leading us on a journey beyond ego and beliefs. Each member also has one to one access to me for one-hour personal coaching twice each month.

How can I help you with your freediving without us being in the water together?
Freediving is about relaxation as much as it is about technique, possibly even more so. Relaxation begins in the mind, becoming conscious of, and directing, our thoughts, rather than letting the ‘monkey-mind’ control and direct us.
