A very Happy Womens Day to us ALL!

That's right, not just the women, but also the men, my transgender friends, and however you choose to self-identify. 

I read an incredible book recently which touched me so deeply that I am talking about it in my coaching calls with students, with friends over coffee and sometimes even with random strangers if the topic pops up.

It's not a women versus men narrative - they've been told for too long and simply perpetuated a polarised version of the old 'them versus us' story. Which clearly doesn't work.

It's a 'what if...' narrative based on the simple question of

how might the world look today if the feminine qualities of
CARE-TAKING, COMMUNICATION & CONNECTION
had been given
EQUAL PLACE
in history alongside the more masculine values of
WAR, WINNING and POWER?

Does that jolt you to your core and resound with a huge YES in your heart, as it does with me?

For me Womens Day isn't about celebrating women over men (although it's certainly a chance to honour and give back to the millions of unsung heroines out there, selflessly bringing up the next generation to be conscious, loving human beings, or caring for and inspiring others).

For me it's an opportunity to honour and celebrate the FEMININE VALUES that have been so lacking in our social, economic, political and even family structures. 

We can see how damaging the masculine 'winning and war' values have been for us all - our planet has been abused as a 'resource' rather than cared for as our home, and we, as a direct result, are suffering from greater physical, mental, emotional and spiritual disconnect than ever before. 

The feminine qualities of care-taking, communication and connection are what are needed to restore balance, harmony and health.
